Most of the photos on this site were extracted from reference images (high-resolution tiffs, 20 to 200 megabytes in size) from the Library of Congress research archive. They are adjusted by your webmaster for contrast and color in Photoshop before being downsized and turned into the jpegs you see here.

A bit of research pegged the address for the YWCA building to be 56 Cannon Street. The building survived into the 60s, and then became the victim of urban renewal. The site is now a parking lot.
The YWCA that inhabited the building itself expired last decade, leaving unpaid taxes.
A very tidy design with just enough ornamentation to give the basic structure individuality. Very nice. Simply works!
Can't imagine anything even remotely close to this being built today.
Looks like there had been a few carriage stops out front dropping off the ladies.
