Nashville Railroad: 1864

Colorized version of two photos by George Barnard of the U S Military Railroad depot at Nashville, TN in 1864. Mr. Barnard shot two photos that day from the same position with the second one more to the right of the first view. I combined the two views into one image which gives a wider view of the scene. Then, I colorized it which took about 92 hours of work. The locomotive colors are educated guesses but do represent the colorful railroad equipment of that time. View full size.
