Chicago, April 1942. "Miss Minnie Coleman (left), clerk, and Miss Selma Barbour, manager of the Cecilian Specialty Hat Shop, 454 East 47th Street. Miss Barbour has been managing this store for one year, and has been in business for four years. She was born in New Orleans, and has eight brothers, seven of whom are eligible for the Army." According to the Social Security Death Index, Selma Barbour died in Chicago on September 15, 1995, at the age of 91. You can see a photo of her in 1974 here.
