Howdy Neighbor! 1955

The birth of a neighborhood 1955. This is Casa Grande which runs parallel to Merced in West Covina, California. The picture is facing northeast from the house Greg Herbert's father just built for. It is less than 100 yards south of where Hollencrest would be built. One of those two houses you see being built across the street is where the Sanborn (Sanborn Theaters) family would eventually be raised. Photo taken by Mary Herbert, 1955. View full size.
