Most of the photos on this site were extracted from reference images (high-resolution tiffs, 20 to 200 megabytes in size) from the Library of Congress research archive. (To query the database click here.) Many were digitized by LOC contractors using a Sinar studio back. They are adjusted by your webmaster for contrast and color in Photoshop before being downsized and turned into the jpegs you see here.

I thought that this was my grandfather's war buddies from the 12th Engineers in France during WWI around 1917-1918. However the names on the back do not match anything in the 12 Engineers roster.
On the back, it is written (Not sure of spelling, cannot make it out very well.):
Standing Left to Right
CoFunk - Korf
Sitting left to right
Moore - Van Daley
