This photo was taken in the early 1950s in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The Imperial Order Daughters of the Empire was the gathering, and the ladies are wearing their best outfits. My maternal grandmother, Edith Wilson, is seated third from the left in the front row (wearing glasses). She was also involved in the Orphan's Fund in that city, and this may have been a fund raiser for that group. Both maternal grandparents lived to 94.
