Most of the photos on this site were extracted from reference images (high-resolution tiffs, 20 to 200 megabytes in size) from the Library of Congress research archive. (To query the database click here.) Many were digitized by LOC contractors using a Sinar studio back. They are adjusted by your webmaster for contrast and color in Photoshop before being downsized and turned into the jpegs you see here.

Got linked here from the 2K forums. This guy looks EXACTLY like BioShock 2's Jacob Norris. I wonder if they used this exact photo in art design research for the game. The fact that it was taken in 1942 (the game being set in 1958, and predominantly styled with late-forties fashion) makes it all the more interesting.
