Cheboygan, Michigan, circa 1907. The man at far right we believe to be Julius B. Lund (1849-1912) founder of J. B. Lund & Sons machine shop, foundry, and shipyard. Our best guess is that the building is the old water works, and that the picture was taken because the Lunds did some work for the City of Cheboygan's water plant. The building that occupied the Lund machine shop, later operated by the Lund sons & grandsons is still standing, on Cleveland St. with frontage on the Cheboygan River.
