The Walter Figot Dudley family, taken in Raleigh County, West Virginia in 1911. I believe the car is a 1911 Packard “Thirty” Touring Car which sold for about $4000 at the time. Walter, with the mustache, is in the rear seat; the baby is my uncle, Frank Edward Dudley, being held by Walter's wife, Florence. Daughter Margaret is seated next to Florence. The driver is James Dudley seated next to brother Roy. Seated behind James are sisters Thelma and Grace. Brother Ray is on the running board. Walter and his wife operated a boarding house for coal miners while in Glen White, WVA. He died during the great Influenza pandemic in 1918 and is buried in Ironton, Ohio. View full size.
