That Special Word

I remember back in the mid-1960's everything labeled "Polynesian" was thought to be exotic and upscale. Throw a pineapple ring on anything and you were thought to be the hostess with the mostess.

Picture perfect pineapples

At the fair there were pineapples growing in a small patch with electrically heated soil. Probably a collaboration between GE and Castle & Cooke.
