Road Crew: circa 1905

Road and street maintenance crew with drum roller in Crescent City, California, about 1905. Man on far left in suit and derby hat is my great-great-uncle, Charles Fremont Jones, who was Town Marshall and Superintendent of Streets there at the time. Taken by my grandfather, George T. Berry, Sr. (1889-1967). As a teenager, he had a camera and home darkroom, and took photos of life around his hometown, some of which I have inherited. View full size.
