August 1937. "Closed bank, northern Minnesota town." Continuing our tour of St. Louis County. Photo by Russell Lee for the Resettlement Admin. View full size.
This bank was part of the St Louis Park State Bank and the scandal that ensued. The bank is gone or remodeled to be no longer recognized but the church you see behind it remains. It looks like Roy Quimby (founder) liked the building design and used it more than once. Nice SHORPY watermark across the facade.
