For some reason, we have a bunch of photos of him as a child in places that look quite dangerous: on rooftops as here, on railroad bridges, on car hoods. My grandfather took a lot of pictures. It's a wonder Dad lived to marry my mother. The picture was taken in Muscatine, Iowa.
