Bon Voyage

I recently read a book that mentioned a vaudeville act where a woman came out, smartly dressed-hat, gloves, fur stole-and at the end of her act she put her stole on the ground and it got up and walked away. A live dog. Showmanship.

Which is it?

Is the 'traveling companion' the fox on her shoulders or the bird perched on her head? Inquiring minds ...

I love it!

It's like a pet you never have to feed.
