Incident at Baxter State Park: 1958

Taken 1958 in Maine. Can't quite tell if this is routine construction, a transit spill, or some kind of rockslide. View full size.

1956 Pontiac at Oopsie Site

Boxes that are now on the sides of the road fell from truck. Whatever fragile cargo they contained smashed into a million shards.
The focus is too poor to tell if those are milk crates or some other kind of golden box. But the white debris color suggests plaster or glass.
Whatever happened to cause the spill, everybody had to come and look or take pictures of it.
And then there is the 1956 Pontiac. Love that Pontiac with its chrome hood suspenders.
