Still an Augustan Gem

Beautifully restored and reopened in 1987 as Sacred Heart Cultural Center. Numerous current photos here:

Still showy

... but no longer a church. It closed as a parish in 1971 and amazingly survived fifteen years of vacancy before being revived as a cultural center in 1987.

Doubletake!

What a phenomenal photograph! At first glance I was sure it was an engraving or lithograph. Remarkable detail and wonderful light and tones. Thanks for posting this!
