A family photo filled with items that have become iconic of the 1950s. The location is the Dogwood section of Levittown, Pennsylvania. In the background are two of the mid-century modern homes there, which had the model name Levittowner. In the foreground are two baby boom babies (me, standing, and some neighbor – possibly Debbie Neil, who lived next door to me). She is sitting in a Taylor Tot, a goofy style-forward baby stroller that was designed in the 1930s but saw a popularity surge with the mothers of that baby boom. Photo was taken by my mother with an Argus 75 box camera that used 620 film. In general companies made contact prints from the 620 negatives, rather than enlargements because the negatives were that big. This was scanned from one of those negatives.
