Photo was probably made in or about November 1918. The insignia patch of the 167th Inf., "Rainbow Division," was originally a full half-arch, but was later reduced to the "quarter arch" shown here, to memorialize the half of the division's soldiers who were killed or wounded. Albert W. May died in Oct 1975 at age 83. View full size.
