My father, Lt. A. D. Harper, was in the 6th Airborne Division. This is him in Ypres in May 1945 having just finished chasing the Germans to the Baltic! His vehicle is a US Jeep - their weapon was also US built - 75mm pack howitzers carried along with a Jeep in Horsa gliders. View full size.
