My 20-something mother stands in a window or doorway with a broad brimmed hat, somewhere in her native New York City. Beyond that this shot comes off as mighty city slicker elegant, I know nothing more about it.

Another shot from this photo session shows more of the location, as well as more of the dress she made, hat she wore, and that this event was formal enough that she wore gloves.
When I see her again, in July 2018, I will ask her if she remembers where this was. Theater? Department store? Art museum?
