The ghost in the crane

The crane operator seems to have done a little shuffle during the exposure. The lack of a handrail on the cab platform and the ladder for the repairmen to get on the bridge give me the heebie-jeebies.

An interesting scene, with open hearth charging boxes being loaded by hand with, it would appear, wire mill scrap and pig iron. Maybe from Lucy furnace.
