VINTAGRAPH • WPA • WWII • YOU MEAN A WOMAN CAN OPEN IT?

Toronto: 1952

This is from my Dad's black and white prints. My older brothers and I are in the back yard of my grandparent's home on Fern Avenue in Toronto, 1952. I'm the guy in front seemingly intent on breaking loose. I had a reputation for running away from home when I was a preschooler, always ending up at a friend of the family a few blocks away. Dad resorted to putting a hook high on our wooden screen door so I wouldn't bolt.
