Willard J. Haak Jr. with his favorite pet cows, circa 1940. The photo was taken at the Willard S. Haak Cattle and Dairy Farms in Marion, Iowa. Haak Jr. (1928 - 2017) was a Peoria resident and later employed as an engineer for Caterpillar, Inc. in research and development for 37 years, retiring in 1993.
