Ray

There's a soon-to-be published biography on Ray Schalk coming from Brian Cooper, a journalist and fan of the "deadball" era of baseball and the Chicago White Sox during the early years of the past century.

Cooper's biography of White Sox pitcher (and spitball artist) Red Faber is a wonderful evocation of that era. Schalk caught a majority of Faber's 254 career winning games.

[It'll be interesting to see what they use for cover art. - Dave]

Baseball

I just can't wait for the season to begin. Thanks for posting these classic pics of the great game.
