Address in the news

This very property has been the subject of a zoning battle in the past two years over whether it can be used for a charter school. Before that it appears possibly to have been used by the Knights of St. Johns. The rest of the neighborhood is largely rowhouses; I can't imagine they were happy to have all that coal around.

To Scale

This looks like a miniature re-creation for a diorama, only the man in the truck pulls it back to reality. Of course this place is probably unrecognizable in modern DC, even with all that brickwork.
