I am 60 now, and remember that commercial well. I believe the girl in the background is Mary Tyler Moore, inasmuch as she has more slender legs.

The dancing Old Gold cigarette packs were featured in a popular TV commercial of 1952. One pair of those legs dancing to "Sidewalks of New York" belonged to a young Mary Tyler Moore.
