College Photo Contest, 1955

It was my last day of college at the U. of Missouri Journalism School, 1973. A photography professor asked me to haul away entries in the annual university student photo contest from 1955. I couldn't see throwing this one in the trash.

Whoa!

So THAT'S what they do in those places.

Nun such as I expected!

Looking at the thumbnail of this, I thought she had something like a spoon in one hand and a small container of something in the other. I was shocked to see a hypodermic syringe in one hand and a little mouse in the other! I wonder, from the poster behind her, if she was working on some sort of genetics experiment. The shape of her lips looks like she was saying something to the little mouse, like, "It's OK, we will be done before you know it!"

Glad you didn't throw this one away!
