They are adjusted by your webmaster for contrast and color in Photoshop before being downsized and turned into the jpegs you see here.

Muscle Shoals has got the Swampers

Phosphorus for incendiary bombs, shells, and for smoke grenades and the like. Possibly for agricultural phosphorus as well since the plant pre-dated the war - operations started in 1934.
Wonder if the plant is still there.
