"Doc" Cutright at the counter of his pharmacy in Louisville, Kansas. The calendar reads March, 1902. He wasn't really and M.D. All pharmacists back then were called "doc." View full size.
I think the pharmaceuticals of 1902 contained at least 80 proof white lightnin'. Is that Jaegermeister in the middle rack? I think I'll just KEEP SMILING as I take my prescriptions!
I love the details in this photo - the crazy wallpaper, the stray teddy bear, the bowls of...something...inside the glass case. I bet those nostrums and specifics and elixers on the back shelves were at least 40 proof.
