They are adjusted by your webmaster for contrast and color in Photoshop before being downsized and turned into the jpegs you see here.

This is a great shot. I bet they made a hell of a racket as they went hurtling by. The crowd must have loved it.
The photo was taken at a great angle - you don't see that very often in pictures from that era. And I love the details on the drivers as they are hurtling down the track. That must have been quite a thrillride!
Man, this looks so rad. Like driving a coffin on wheels. Too fun!
