Our holdings include hundreds of glass and film negatives/transparencies that we've scanned ourselves; in addition, many other photos on this site were extracted from reference images (high-resolution tiffs) in the Library of Congress research archive. This is one of my favorite photos as it shows my mother, Marilyn, in her early life, and the expression on her face says to me that she is not liking the idea of holding still for that picture. I'm glad she did though! Picture taken about 1924-1925. View full size.
