That is some good looking watermelon! I'm not exactly sure who these kids are; but they're in Perry, Oklahoma, and it's the late 1890s or very early 1900s. I found this photo in my collection from my Granny Annie, so at least one of the kids has the last name of Keeler. It reminds me of a song she taught me... Fried chicken is mighty mighty fine But nothing could be finer than a watermelon rind So plant a little watermelon on my grave And let the juice (slurrp) Trickle through! View full size.
