Decor

Love, love, love that vanity. And I remember those decorative tin wastebaskets from my grandfather's house. Nowadays, trash cans are plastic and boring. Great pic!

Time capsule

This photo is chock-full of awesomeness. The art deco vanity, frilly curtains seen in the mirror, doilies carefully positioned on the vanity, grandma's shiny ribbon skirt and gold-trimmed blouse, her bright red lipstick and big smile...it's all fantastic. It looks like a fur coat is thrown across the bed, so maybe she's getting ready for a night out on the town. I like the way the photographer carefully positioned himself/herself just out of range of the mirror, too.
