About the Photos

Our holdings include hundreds of glass and film negatives/transparencies that we've scanned ourselves; in addition, many other photos on this site were extracted from reference images (high-resolution tiffs) in the Library of Congress research archive. (To query the database click here.) They are adjusted, restored and reworked by your webmaster in accordance with his aesthetic sensibilities before being downsized and turned into the jpegs you see here. All of these images (including "derivative works") are protected by copyright laws of the United States and other jurisdictions and may not be sold, reproduced or otherwise used for commercial purposes without permission.

Dorothy Again

Men seldom make passes
At girls upon asses.

Beach politics

In response to NPB's comment below, I'm sure the users of the beach would have preferred it not to have been the Republican convention.

Which twin has the Toni?

The twins dress alike but have different hairstyles.

Looks like an early Democratic convention.

The girl on the right says

"My parents dragged me to the beach and now I have to sit on this donkey...and I don't want the tee shirt!"

Oh someone took my line!

I was going to say, "Nice Asses!" but I am too late! Darnit!! ha ha ha

This is a fantastic picture -- crop the faces and put them on Facebook and this could have been taken this summer!

Let me be the first to say

"Those are some nice girls on those asses!"

Beach Giggles

The guy in the cart seems to be having way too much fun. Unlike the girl on the right.

Watch your step

So ... just how clean is that sand going to be?
