This is my great-uncle Michael Isaacs, taken in April 1918 when he joined the 308th Infantry, 77th Division, in World War I. Michael was assigned as a runner to the HQ Company of the 308th. He was killed in the Ardennes on October 24, 1918, just three weeks before the Armistice. View full size.
