Oldest couple -- not really -- but they are the oldest couple in my family photo collection. Mr. and Mrs. William Meriwether Sr., of rural Blandinsville, Ill. These are my great grandparents, born in the early 1870s, I remember her, but he died before I could really remember things. Her name was Kathryn. Photo from 35mm Kodachrome slide. View full size.

Your wonderful grandparents look like all the aged relatives I remember as a child -- they seem to have somehow stuck at some moment in time and never changed. I guess it's because of the clothes. My great-aunts and uncles always looked like they walked right out of the 1930s even though it was the early '70s.
