UPDATE: The officer center left is Gen. Clark Ruffner. UPDATE 2: I believe this picture was taken during the ceremonies surrounding the presentation of the Presidential Unit Citation awarded to the 2nd Infantry Division in May, 1951. Inspection, 2nd Infantry Division, 23rd Infantry Regiment, 1951. Grandpa was a Major and the S-4 for the 23rd. Somewhere I have written down who the officer in front is - I have some with Gen. Clark Ruffner, but not sure if this is one of them. I've heard it said that the Korean War was the first in which most soldiers carried a camera at some point or another. View full size.
