Ironmongers: c. 1930s

Metcalfe & Duncan were an ironmongery business in Dalkeith, Midlothian, Scotland. My father William Wight served his apprenticeship there, and (war service apart) worked as an ironmonger all his working life. He is on the right of this photo which was probably taken mid 1930s. If my memory is correct the chap on the left was called Eric Hunter and the man in the middle was the manager whose name I don't recall. View full size.
