Mystery castle

Mystery castle

Photo found in an antique market in Lewes, West Sussex, England. Unidentified building on a beach. Women in late 19th century clothing. Bell tents. Possibly a bathing suit lying on the sand. The core of the building appears to be a cylindrical, flat-topped fort, but the oriental styled extensions suggest a more luxurious residence. The bow windows seem European.

I think it was was taken in the early to mid '60s. Scanned from a Kodak safety negative. View full image.
