I am the Walrus.

Wanted --

Experienced light holder for egg farm. Please provide resume and references.

If you can't stand the light

... don't volunteer to be photographed by John Vachon for the Office of War Information.

[Only Egg Lady was a Vachon photo. The other two by Jack Delano and John Collier. - Dave]

What's really happening

Looks like a "shell game" to me

I SEE THE LIGHT

Can't they get a pole for that?

Get That Light Out Of My Eyes

Why is the lady holding that light so high and pretty much blinding that poor egg lady?

Does she work for John? Is that his wife or another worker? Could it be her sister assisting?

Eggs. Eggs. Eggs. The Egg Man is Here!

Mrs. Younkers does have a slimmer resemblance to the infamous Egg Lady played by Edith Massey in the film Pink Flamingos by John Waters.
