Every summer our family would make the trip from eastern Ohio to Conneaut Lake and it was the highlight of our summers. This photo, taken by my father in 1959 or ’60, is one of his finest. You can almost smell the Coppertone and hear the ballgame mixed in with all the music of the time along with squealing children splashing in the water.
Conneaut Lake in Western Pennsylvania survives to this day as a trip back in time.
