A Gentleman and His Automobile: 1910

Bert Delos Heck (1871-1974) and his automobile in front of his house in Sidney Ohio. Bert was my great grandfather who spent his entire life in Sidney, OH. As a boy I was fortunate to have known him briefly. Anybody know what kind of car that is? View full size.

1910-1912 Regal 25-horsepower Model N Underslung Roadster

The Car

The unusual front suspension suggests that the car is an American Underslung.
There is a museum photo here, with very similar springing, however the radiator shape is different.

I am inclined to think that the car is either an American Underslung of a different year, or a re-bodied Underslung car, or perhaps a period copy. Sorry, I don't know much about USA cars.
