What I like best

No parking meters!

7th and The Avenue

This is the NW corner of Seventh Street and Pennsylvania Avenue NW -- all of the buildings visible here have since been demolished.

The site is now occupied by a condo / office building, Market Square East (701 Pennsylvania Ave.)

Somebody colorize this!

What fun you will have, and a month to do it in, almost.

Wishful Thinking

Some of the pictures posted on Shorpy's I would just love to be able to step into them and walk around. This is one I would like to be able to do that, too.

Window dressers

Window dressing must be a lost art! I remember all the department stores in downtown Minneapolis had such beautiful Christmas windows - not so much anymore! Sad.

Bedford Falls II

No, my first thought was, "Hey, how tall are those rooftop Santas? 10 feet?"

Bedford Falls

How many of you thought of the movie "It's a Wonderful Life" when you first saw this pic?
