Sergeants Suite

I remember the small rooms near the entrance or the staircase in those WW2 era Barracks. They were for the Cadre′, the training staff. There were usually 2 of these, one was occupied by the Senior NCO and the 2nd usually shared by another Sgt and/or a Corporal. The rest of us slept in single bedded, double decked camaraderie in what could lightly be called a Dormitory.
