Just look at the candy!

I didn't realize that Rolos (chocolate-covered caramels in a cylindrical package) existed back then!

Thanks everyone

Its a hobby that I just got into. I started with old family photos, one of which I did was a similar picture of my great grandfather's general store. I have been going over the shorpy gallery and am working on a couple of others that spoke to me. I plan to contribute heavily to the Colorized Photos gallery which is why I chose the screenname Ted Turner because of his trend of colorizing things in the 80's, though I hope to do a much better job than he did.

I currently am nearly done with this one:

and have just started on this one though it will need some restoration work before I can colorize it:

There's another that I submitted that for some reason wasn't used, but I am excited about how well this one was received. Thank you for all the kind words.

Wow

Amazing work. It was already a great pic, but now it looks like you could walk up and ask for a box of Band-Aids. Great job.

Kudos!

You did a great job.

Beautiful!

I never thought that I would get to see this photo that I shared in color. You did a wonderful job, outstanding!

Beautifully done

I was already an adult at the time this picture was taken and I believe you have done an outstanding and accurate job of adding the correct colors. Your work really does bring the picture to life and instills much greater interest into all the details. Thank you.
