The common man's private club.

The Elks demolished this building in 1926 and replaced it with a mammoth new club, 12 stories high and costing 1.3 million dollars, (18 million in today's dollars).

The new club for the average man included a full size gym, swimming pool, library, 6 lane bowling alley, restaurant, coffee shop, lounge, ladies writing room and an entire 150 room hotel.
