Amazing photographer

I don't think I'd heard of this artist before! He specialized in artistic images like this one. In his day he was the rival of Stieglitz, but much of Day's work was tragically lost in a fire three years before his death. I can't imagine what that must have felt like! He believed photography could be an art form and promoted that idea. He was also a publisher. You can find more of his ethereal images in a google search, and more about him here:

Haunting Image

Can ponder this beautiful image for hours. Hat is similar to the winged helmet I often wear.
