My mother’s older sister Harriet attended Hunter College, where apparently everybody sat around on the steps and read books. I like this picture because of its photo composition, and the period clothes and hair. My best guess is that Harriet took it of her friends, though that could be Harriet in the dark suit on the far right, and one of her friends took this picture of her. View full size.
