Doll Bed (Colorized): 1931

Colorized version of this image showing "children in hospital bed with dolls." Washington, D.C., 1931. Harris & Ewing glass negative.
This is what children did before computers, cell phones and social media. We may have made great gains in technology, but in my opinion, we lost a lot.

Precious!

I love her upside-down smile. She seems a bit shy and not sure if she wants her picture taken. Her friend is more than willing to sit on a 'girls bed with a bunch of dolls' for the chance to have his picture taken. Imagine what a hospital children's ward was like back in the day.
