A large group (extended family?) enjoys music outdoors on an Edison Standard Phonograph, circa 1902. The photographer's stamp on the rear of the mount indicates it was taken in the Milwaukee area.

What are the odds of coming across the same peculiar use for a paint-can twice in one week: here (where I assume the guy in the front row is using the can as a container for food or maybe even beverages) and in post 24406 (Lunch-Pail Pals).
